After earning my BA in Communication Arts I still had no definite career path that I wanted to pursue.
Finally after spending many years in the 9-5 office environment saving money and paying off student loans I decided that being confined to an office that usually consisted of four walls and the absence of a window was not how I wanted to spend the rest of my life.
I took the leap in 2006 and became a full time student at NESOP pursuing the skills to become a portraiture and wedding photographer.
Now shooting solely in digital, my darkroom consists of a camera, laptop and portable printer that makes it easy to set up a home office, which includes windows, or to travel on location. I am also able to conduct a photo shoot at my clients’ home especially when photographing little children or babies where they feel more comfortable and therefore I capture more natural images.
Still in the stages of developing my style, I prefer to shoot using very plain backgrounds and locations. Unlike shooting documentary style I enjoy touching up images to give the subject and extra pop.
